CSMT2005

Preface

These proceedings consist of refereed and selected papers which were presented at the 12th sumposium of Tunisian Mathematical Society ”CSMT2004” that was held March 18 ¡ 23, 2004 at Mahdia. This symposium was one of the largest international meeting on Mathematics in Tunisia. A total of 200 participants from several countries were in attendance. In addition to the plenary, invited and contributed talks, there was a panel discussion on future directions and problems in various areas of Mathematics. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organizations which, with their generous support, helped our society to organize the ”CSMT2004”.

COERCIVENESS ESTIMATE FOR VENTCEL BOUNDARY VALUE

PROBLEM FOR A DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

AISSA AIBECHE AND ANGELO FAVINI

Abstract. We give some simple algebraic conditions on the coefficients of a boundary value problem for a differential equations of  Ventcel type, depending on a spectral parameter, which guarantee the existence, uniqueness of a solution and coerciveness estimate, for a spectral parameter lying in some sector.

NEW PROOF OF COWLING-PRICE LEMMA AND

APPLICATION

SLAIM BEN FARAH

Abstract. A crucial result to establish the Lp-Lq versions of Hardy’s theorem is the following Cowling-Price lemma . Let σ > 0 ; M > 0 and 1 · p < 1. If g is an entire function on C satisfying the conditions ││gR││p M and g(x + iy) M eσ x2 , for all x > 0; y > 0, then g = 0. In this paper, we establish a version of Phragm´en-Lindeöf theorem and we deduce a simplified proof of the above lemma. As application, we establish a Lp-Lq version of Hardy’s theorem for the Heisenberg group, by using its natural gauge.

DISTRIBUTIONAL JACOBI-DUNKL TRANSFORM AND

APPLICATIONS

HASSEN BEN MOHAMED AND HATEM MEJJAOLI

Abstract. In this paper, we study the Jacobi-Dunkl transform on new spaces of distributions.

Boundedness, uniqueness, smoothness, and inversion theorems are established for this

transform. Finally we give some applications.

DIFFÉRENTIELS INVARIANTS POUR LA REPRÉSENTATION

MONOMIALE D'UN GROUPE DE LIE NILPOTENT

HIDENORI FUJIWARA

Abstract.

Abstract.

TWO CLASSES OF MODELS FOR OVERDISPERSED

COUNT DATA

C.C. KOKONENDJI AND C.G.B. DEMETRIO AND  S. DOSSOU-GBETE

Abstract. We investigate two classes of exponential dispersion models for overdispersed count data with respect to the Poisson distribution. The first is a class of Poisson mixture with positive Tweedie mixing distributions. As an approximation of the first in terms of their unit variance functions, the second is a new class of exponential dispersion models characterized by their unit variance functions of the form ¹ + ¹p, where p is a real index related to a precise model. These two classes provide some alternatives to the negative binomial distribution (p = 2) which is classically used in the framework of regression models for count data when overdispersion results in a lack of fit of the Poisson regression model. Some properties are then studied and the pratical usefulness is also discussed.

PROLONGEMENT ET CONTRÔLE D'UN COURANT

NÉGATIF PSH PAR SES TRANCHES.* (African Diaspora Journal of Mathematics)

MONCEF TOUJANI AND HÈDI BEN MESSAOUD

Abstract. In this paper, we show the principal theorem, on the extension of a negative (or positive) plurisubharmonic (ie ddcT ¸ 0) current T with condition on the slice. First, We prove the Chern-Levine-Nirenberg inequality for a positive (or négative) psh current. The result generalized a result of Sibony and the results of Bedford-Taylor and Demailly for a positive d-closed current. Also we show a inequality of Oka type for a positive psh current.

TRANSCENDANCE DE PÉRIODES:

ÉTAT DES CONNAISSANCES

MICHEL WALDSCHMIDT

Abstract.
